When CHANGEffect began working with the law office, the managing partner of the firm had left two years earlier to pursue another career and the leadership of the partners and the entire firm had passed to the most senior remaining partner.
The CHANGEffect:
After a complete analysis of all departments and the attorneys in the area and a review of the past five years’ financials, accounts payable, accounts receivable and work in process, the problems of the law office started to emerge. The leadership responsibilities that had transitioned two years earlier were not a fit with the correct size of the firm or the future plans for the firm. As a result CHANGEffect assumed the position of non-lawyer managing partner and worked with the partners to establish a leadership committee where the partners would lead the area (financial/planning/administration) that matched their skills. The new leadership team model coupled with a new leadership process helped them get back on the path to achieve their strategic plans.
