Culture
This economic development company was a holding company that oversaw five companies: a bank, recruitment firm, real estate firm, employment training firm and a consulting firm. The five entities had a purpose of helping economically disadvantaged neighborhoods become revitalized. Their model was very effective and both local and national governmental agencies embraced the organization. As a result, their growth was overwhelming.
The CHANGEffect:
Because of the rapid growth, many systems, structures and leadership positions had to change. The company hired two CHANGEffect agents to work internally on a full-time basis for 16 months to assist the leadership in getting the organization caught up. The changes took up almost two years, but the leadership structure and internal processes have stayed in place even after our exit from the organization.
