Culture
CLC is a multi-site church with campuses in Tinley Park, Illinois, Shorewood, Illinois, and South Bend, Indiana. The infrastructure and ministry development has not adequately kept pace with the attendance growth at the Tinley Park campus or the launch of the other two campuses. Our assessment was that there was a shortage of leadership in the church to help bridge the developmental gap, with special attention needed in the business function of finance and strategic planning.
The CHANGEffect:
CHANGEffect conducted interviews with the campus pastors, the worship and teaching pastors, as well as all the functional and specialty pastors (i.e. Hispanic/Family). We also met individually with the internal administrative staff and all the board of trustee directors. The current plan was to begin a joint planning and budget process, while at the same time, develop the infrastructure for tasks that provide centralized focus for all campuses. The CHANGEffect agents also assumed the temporary function of executive pastor in order to add some executive leadership as they began the task of recruiting a long term executive pastor.
Expression
When Christian Life Center had the opportunity to launch it’s second campus in Shorewood, Illinois, CHANGEffect was asked to create two television commercials that would play on local stations and introduce the church to the community. By focusing on two specific reasons why most people do not go to church, CHANGEffect concepted, wrote, and produced these spots. Custom motion graphics and sound effects make these commercials memorable and continue to have an outstanding response from the community.
